COBRAIN Scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research is one of the major research institutions in Armenia focusing on Neuroscience. COBRAIN Twinning project won the Horizon 2020 and since then created a team of passionate neuroscientists. The continuation of the project became the COBRAIN Center, which was officially established in 2022 and since has been investigating chronic neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and neurodevelopmental diseases such as autism spectrum disorders. The Center is home to medical students who want to have their input in research. With the help of our internships, eduships and other educational programs, many students have joined our team and developed essential skills for conducting experiments. Our researchers teach Basics of Research to Yerevan State Medical University students, who have the opportunity to visit laboratories and learn how to do scientific research. Our Center is equipped with a zebrafish research facility and other modern technologies which enable our researchers to unleash their full potential. COBRAIN welcomes new members who are curious, excited and willing to work on new projects with our team.
